Everything's New at Veraly & Company
Since shifting my business this past January, I have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from fellow creatives like you. When I started my business in 2013 as a stationery designer and calligrapher, I struggled to stand out and to differentiate myself as a high-end brand. Honestly, I was totally clueless as to what I needed to build a real brand that would attract the right clients.
I was designing a lot of different types of paper products from note cards and wall art to wedding invitations and greeting cards. Basically anything I thought would be popular, and I knew I needed things to look somewhat professional, so I bought tons of stock photos to mockup my designs. I’d spend anywhere from $5-$15 on stock photos, and I was seeing the same images being used all over Etsy and Instagram by other stationers. At the time, that didn’t really bother me and I didn’t think much about it until I started really wanting to build a business and take things from side hustle hobby to a real business. I was trying to attract high-end clients with larger budgets for wedding invitations, but I was only getting clients who wanted to print at home and pay $20. And when you think about it, it totally makes sense. There are so many people out there who are only charging $20 for a wedding suite that you can print at home, and when your’e using the exact same images as they are, why would a client be willing to pay you 100x more for what they are perceiving as the same quality product?
Beautiful, unique images elevate the perception of your work, helps you connect with your ideal audience, and makes it easier for potential clients to see how your products will fit into their vision of their event or their life.
Once I realized what was going on, I knew I had to change it and I knew there had to be a better way. I invested lots of time and money learning how to style my work and, I swear, almost over night my business changed. And I’m not the only one that this has worked for. I was recently chatting with a client and she told me that using my styled images is THE reason she has more business than ever and why Etsy recently asked to feature her. Beautiful, unique images elevate the perception of your work, helps you connect with your ideal audience, and makes it easier for potential clients to see how your products will fit into their vision of their event or their life (and how your work is different than then $20 version).
I know that this has worked for me, it has worked for my clients, and I know it will work for you too. That’s why I’m so excited today to be re-launching my website with a new look, new services, and new styled stock images. Each collection that I sell is limited edition and only available to small number of designers. This helps protect your brand, your investment, and elevate the perception of your work. I know you have a dream and a talent to share with the world; this is your time and the new styled stock shop is here to help.
Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your business and story, it is truly an honor.
